Mercedes-Benz Formula E Car Makes Middle East Debut At GITEX

The all-electric car and latest addition to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship line-up is on display at technology company SAP's booth

A replica of Mercedes-Benz’ Formula E racing car, the EQ Silver Arrow 01, has made its Middle East debut at Dubai’s Gitex this week.
The all-electric car and latest addition to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship line-up is on display at technology company SAP’s booth.
SAP, which is the official business performance partner for the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team, is showcasing innovative technologies set to be adopted by Expo 2020 Dubai through the SAP Co-Innovation Lab in the UAE to design the People of Determination Platform as well as Saudi’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah which is highlighting smart cards to enhance the management of pilgrims.
According to SAP Middle East South Senior Vice President Gergi Abboud, customer experience is central to driving innovation in sports, mega-events and transport and logistics.
The SAP customer experience suite includes demos surrounding digital automotive, coffee supply chain, blockchain for universities, e-sports and more.
The company is known for its Training and Development Institute (TDI) which supports young talent, having hosted more than 1,400 graduates from its Young Professional Program, with 99 percent finding employment as SAP Associate Consultants.
The SAP stand B1 is located at the Dubai World Trade Centre – Hall 6, and will be available for visitors from 6-10 October 2019.
As for the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team, it will make its debut on the circuit in Season 6 of the championships which begin at the SAUDIA Diriyah E-Prix on Friday, 22 November.
