ADQ Renews Sponsorship Deal With UAEFA For 3 More Years

Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund ADQ and the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) announced the renewal of a sponsorship contract for the President’s Cup Championship and First and Second Division club leagues.
The renewal is for an additional three years starting from the current 2024-2025 season.
The renewed partnership comes ahead of the national team’s preparations for the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
ADQ said the renewal of the sponsorship agreement reflects its continued commitment to encouraging the community to adopt healthy and active lifestyles by promoting integrated sports initiatives and programmes.
Anas Jawdat Albarguthi, Group Chief Operating Officer at ADQ, said the Fund is committed to strengthening the UAE’s position in the local, regional and international sports scene.
“We also want to encourage members of the community to improve their health and well-being by engaging in various sports,” Albarguthi said.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the UAEFA, said the renewal of the sponsorship contract with ADQ is an important step that will help build further on the joint achievements of the past three years.
“The renewal of the partnership contract comes ahead of our national team’s preparations for the third round of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Cup,” he said.
Besides the UAE Football Association, ADQ also has strategic partnerships with various international and local sports organisations.
It has a multi-year collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA), besides being the title sponsor of UAE Team ADQ, the UAE’s official women’s cycling team.
ADQ also sponsors the cycling team UAE Team Emirates as well as Pyramids Football Club, a sports club in the Egyptian Professional League.
