UAE Flyers Offered Up To 25 Kilos Of Free Additional Baggage Allowance

In one of the offers, flyers need to pre-purchase 40 kilos of weight to get 25 kilos extra
Dubai: UAE residents flying with Emirates have until today to book a flight and enjoy up to ten to 15 kilos of free additional baggage allowance.
Those travelling with the UAE-based carrier to destinations in India, Philippines, China and other parts of the Middle East can bring with them a total of 40 to 45 kilos of bags, free of charge, provided they book anytime today and travel not later than June 10, 2018.
Another airline is also catching on the bonus baggage craze. Cebu Pacific announced on Monday that it is also offering additional free baggage of up to 25 kilos effective March 1 until November 30, 2018.
However, the catch is that the extra 25 kilos will be given only to those who purchase in advance some 40 kilograms of weight allowance, which normally costs between Dh320 and Dh340, and it applies only to outbound flights from Dubai to Manila.
With regards to Emirates' offer, there are no similar conditions attached, except that it only applies to the following destinations: Manila, Cebu & Clark, Jakarta, Beijing, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Khartoum, Colombo, Amman, Kabul, Zhengzhou, Yinchuan, Karachi, Multan, Shanghai & Sialkot, Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong, Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Algiers, Cairo, Casablanca, Dar Es Salam, Dakar, Entebbe, Harare, Luanda, lagos, Lusaka, Nairobi & Guangzhou.
In Cebu Pacific’s offer, flyers spending less than Dh400 on pre-purchased baggage limit can bring to the Philippines a total of 65-kilo-heavy bags, including gift boxes.
It’s still a good deal, according to Cebu Pacific, considering that shipping a bundle of goodies, commonly called balikbayan boxes, to the Philippines can easily set one back Dh115 to Dh379 and senders have to wait for one month to three months for the shipment to arrive.
“With [this offer], boxes can now be loaded on the same flight and arrive in the Philippines at the same time,” the airline said.
