Clouds to bring showers until Monday morning, skies expected to clear by afternoon

Rain in Abu Dhabi early Sunday morning
Dubai: Unstable weather will continue until Monday morning, bringing showers in the far north and eastern parts of the UAE, but skies are expected to clear by noon.
Forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology said clouds are expected to bring scattered showers to Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah until around 10am on Monday.
The skies will be partly cloudy and cloudy at times after that with a slight chance of rain.
A forecaster said the country is under the effect of a Red Sea trough on the surface accompanied by an upper trough with cold air mass from the north resulting in a gradual increase in cloud amount with rainfall. The trough is moving from west to east.
He called on motorists to take caution as this weather condition associated wind gusts reaching 50km/h could kick up dust and cause poor visibility on roads.
Residents are urged to stay away from wadis or valleys. The sea will also be rough.
On Sunday, different intensities of rain hit most parts of the country. The maximum recorded as of 4pm was 28.4mm over Barakah in the western region.
Tuesday’s weather will be partly cloudy in general. The amount of clouds will increase over the western region and islands. Cumulus clouds may form on the eastern region in the afternoon, accompanied by rain.
Winds will be moderate to fresh at times, especially on the sea and exposed areas that will cause dusty conditions and poor visibility.
