Mohammad Bin Zayed Receives Bahrain Foreign Minister

UAE, Bahrain discuss challenges facing region’s security and stability

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister.

They discussed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and the strength of the historic bonds binding the peoples of the UAE and Bahrain. Shaikh Khalid conveyed greetings from King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes of greater progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people.

Shaikh Mohammad conveyed his greeting to King Hamad and best wishes for Bahrain and its people. Shaikh Mohammad and Shaikh Khalid discussed the latest developments on the Arab arena and challenges facing the region’s security and stability.

Shaikh Mohammad also received Ali Abdul Aal, Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, in the presence of Amal Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC).

They discussed fraternal relations and ways to develop them in the best interests of the two nations and peoples, and underlined the importance of the role of parliaments in addressing issues of interest to the Arab nation and their role in upholding the rights and interests of their peoples in international forums.

Shaikh Mohammad and Abdul Aal also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
