Dubai: Kuwait International Airport resumed operations on Monday, welcoming and operating flights from Arab and international airlines as part of a gradual reactivation plan following the completion of repair and development works.

The reopening marks a key step in restoring the airport’s operational readiness, with improvements made to facilities and technical systems to support a smooth return to service.

Passenger Terminal 1 (T1) witnessed the resumption of both incoming and outgoing passenger traffic. Operations are being conducted under procedures aimed at ensuring the efficient flow of air traffic and facilitating travel processes, in line with the airport’s approved reopening plan.

Authorities said that various facilities and services have been fully prepared to receive flights, ensuring that operations meet required standards as air traffic gradually returns.

The resumption of operations for Arab and international airlines comes as part of broader efforts to enhance the efficiency of Kuwait’s air transport sector and restore the airport’s operational capacity to meet the needs of passengers and airlines.
